This morning, southern Granada felt the earth tremor which came at 06.06h with the epicentre situated under Jayena 12 kilometres down.

The 3.5-magnitude seismic movement with an intensity reading of III-IV was followed around 40 minutes later by another earth tremor out to sea in the northern part of the Mar de Alborán, which was felt more by those living down on thecoast.

This second seimic shock register 2.4 in magnitude and close to the surface, so it was felt more with an intensity of II & III in locations such as Lobres, Salobreña, Torrenueva and Vélez de Benaudalla and to a slightly lesser degree (II) in Alhama de Granada, Almuñécar, Calahonda, Gualchos, Molvízar and Motril.
