A reader writes in to speak about the lack of safe pedestrian access to La Herradura.
Hello Seaside Gazette,
I remain astonished at the dangerous and confusing roundabout which links La Herradura to the main highway.

This is the second time I have asked a question about the issue. Please can someone explain the rationale behind it? A senior town planner, a politician or a town hall official would do.
To my pedestrian mind it manages to put any individual not attached to a vehicle in mortal peril. I fear for you if you want to walk from the petrol station to the bus stop and wait for the B2.
Today I saw an elderly gentleman with his shopping trolly trying to pass from the petrol station, across the line of revving cars at the stop light, to the highway above the camping sites.
The palm trees and the gardens look beautiful and, perhaps, glory in their space. Us non-driving humans meanwhile find it challenging to go about our daily business.
There has to be a way of taking everyone’s needs into account with the road layout, surely.
Hoping for an answer.
Yours sincerely,
Sue Davies

Concerning Sue Davies’ comment about the dangerous junction at the La Herradura traffic lights for pedestrians. I live close by and I was told by a Spanish neighbour a person was injured by a car years ago when trying to cross the road.
