Motril's Parque de los Pueblos de América will be the venue for the Spring Festival (Fiesta de La Primavera) this coming weekend.

The event, which will include music, gastronomy, family activities, and exhibitions, will run from Friday the 17th to Sunday the 19th.

Mayor Luisa García Chamorro pointed out that this highly successful event brings together hundreds of residents and visitors, thanks to its varied programme for people of all ages.

Things start on the Friday at 19.00h, which is the time of the official inauguration and will run until midnight. The next day, Saturday activities will run from ten in the morning until midnight, again, whereas Sunday it will start at the same time but end one hour earlier at 23.00h.

Throughout the weekend there be food trucks serving pizza, burgers, tacos, waffles, and more.

Mayor Chamorro explained, “For three days, Motril will become a major meeting point for families, youth, and visitors,” adding, “We will have a top selection of food trucks, a varied musical line-up, including indie, rock and pop concerts, children’s performances, and special moments like that provided by the Cardenal Belluga School Choir.”

Some of the activities will be exhibitions put on by the Policía Local Police, Firefighters, and the Protección Civil canine unit on Saturday starting at 10:00h.
