Bus Stop Beating

A man in his early 20s after spending a night in La Herradura during the San Jose Fiestas was beaten up by four individuals whilst waiting for a bus at the main-road bus stop.

Roberto, aged 22, was kicked in the head amongst the other blows to the rest of his body.

He reported what had happened to him to the Guardia Civil yesterday, who are now investigating the attack. Calls for witnesses have been made for them to come forward with information that could lead to the identity of the aggressors.

According to his father, the victim was with his sister around 03.00h Sunday morning, waiting for the special, night bus provided during the fiestas, operating between La Herradura and Almuñécar. What happened next had his father stating, “They nearly killed him!”

However, there was no sign of the bus so he suggested walking, making the comment out loud, “They’ve fool us; there is no bus! Four young men waiting for the bus set on him whilst another three held the sister so that she couldn’t intervene to help him.

It was her cries for help that attracted a local who approached to help and the attackers fled. He was taken to the Almuñécar Centro de Salud but after waiting or an hour and a half, those that accompanied him demanded that he be taken by ambulance to Hospital Santa Ana in Motril because of the state he was in.

Fortuntely, after being kept under observation at the hospital, it was determined that he had not suffered a brain hemorrhage or fracture.

Editorial comment: what cowardly little shits they are that they think four against one makes them mannly. Individually, most of them wouldn’t say boo, if by themselves.
