Volunteer Litter Clean-Up

The International Club of Salobreña organised and carried out a clean-up mission along the Camino del Gambullón in collaboration with the Town Hall on Sunday the 22nd.

About 15 members of the club (which has foreign residents living in several municipalities across the Costa Tropical)participated in the event.

The Councilor for the Environment, Mariola Martínez Cerezo, thanked the participants for their involvement and highlighted the value of these types of joint actions between the local administration and community associations.

“Residents collaboration is essential for  keeping our lanes and countryside in good condition. Activities like this demonstrate the commitment of many residents to caring for Salobreña,” said Councillor Martínez.

The Town Council spoke highly of the group’s response and encouraged residents to join future environmental, volunteer actions that help keep the municipality clean.

“We want to raise awareness among the entire population about the importance of conserving and keeping public spaces clean, avoiding littering or leaving any polluting substances in our natural surroundings,” she concluded.
