The Granada Provincial Council announced that it would apply "exceptional measures" for coastal Town Halls concerning washed up debris brought down by barrancos and rivers.
These measure were brought about so that these tonnes of vegetation can be processed through the provincial processing plants for agricultural waste.

The Provincial Environmental Department said that it will reduce the cost of using this recycling plant, putting the cost at ten euros per tonne, as opposed to the normal rate of 70 euros per tonne under normal conditions.
Furthermore, the Planta Ecocentral will remain open this weekend to deal with the increased workload, that was that generated by the storm.
