Town Hall maintenance workers have been busy in the Parque de la Fuente II, which entails, amongst other tasks, emptying the pond.

It won’t remain empty because they’re going to fill it in and  will pave the surface using the same materials as used in other areas of the park.

They are also doing away with the perimiter wall and the trees next to it. However, the trees will be replanted in another area of the park.

“The idea is to make this space more open, accessible and attractive as well as functional, so that different activities can be carried out there,” explained the Councillor for Public Works,  Juan Francisco Gutiérrez. 

The park, he pointed out, had deteriorated, which is why the work is being carried out, which will make it into a new play/games area (espacio lúdico)
