It appears that a Public Prosecutor has begun an investigation into an accusation made by two women against the Spanish singer, Julio iglesias.
The accusation was registered on the 5th of this month, claiming that he had committed sexual assault and Human Trafficking against two domestic staff at his properties in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas between January and October 2021.

The complaint was submitted to a National Court as it is the competent body to investigate crimes committed by Spaniards abroad, according to Article 23 of the Organic Law of the Judiciary.
These types of proceedings are preliminary actions that the Police, the Public Prosecutor’s Office and, in some cases, judicial bodies, carry out before a criminal or civil process is formally initiated.
The offences are human trafficking for the purpose of imposing forced labour and servitude; several crimes against sexual freedom and indemnity such as harassment and sexual assault, as well as injuries; and several crimes against workers’ rights for the imposition of abusive working conditions.
Julio Iglesias, who is now 82 and lives most of the time in the Dominican Republic, is not alone in being investigated, as two managers who look after these overseas properties are considered necessary collaborators.
