The Almuñécar International Women’s Group writes in to explain about their charity collections - enhorabuena!

The run-up to Christmas is for many people a pull on the purse strings, as families juggle the tasks of providing festive food and bending the budget to provide gifts for their loved ones.

With ever-rising prices, some families will find coping with Christmas stressful, as well as expensive.

Every year, members of the Almuñécar International Women’s Group are aware of the struggle some of the local families go through to make ends meet at this time of year. 

The AIWG has, therefore, raised money from various events culminating in a charity lunch in conjunction with Almuñécar Men’s Book Club.

The proceeds from the events have been split between the Madres Solas organisation and the Food Bank run by Caritas, which have each received €320.
