The Málaga Fire Department responded to an emergency involving a flat fire yesterday and rescued a man with mobility probems who had been lying, unconscious, on the floor.
Personnel from the Real Cuerpo de Bomberos received an alert from the Emergency Coordination Centre at approximately 08.50h yesterday to say that there was a fire on Calle Nuestra Señora de Clarines (Miraflores) in a 2nd-storey flat.

This fire service brought two fire engines, a vehicle with an extending ladder, and a smaller vehicle to the scene.
Once they gained access to the room where the fire had started, they found a man lying on the floor, unable to get up due to mobility issues. The situation was critical because he had gone into cardiac arrest.
The fire personnel immediately placed an oxygen mask on him and got him out of the house. Paramedics from the waiting ambulance below carried out CPR on the man, after which he was rushed to hospital.
