A man had been arrested but released pending trial after appearing before a police court. Unhappy and feeling unloved, perhaps, he attacked seven, parked police vehicles.

This act of vandalism took place outside the police station belonging to the Policía Nacional in Vélez-Málaga during the early hours of last Monday.

Armed with a large machete, he set about the police vehicles parked outside the police station, destroying readview mirrors and side & back windows.

The police came pouring out of their building after hearing neighbours shouting and arrested the middle-aged man again. But he is no stranger to arrest as he has a criminal record; thus cuffed and marched off to alternative accommodation.

When they confronted him, by the way, he shouted, “Arrest me!” But they had already thought of that and needed no prompting.
