Grumblers Welcome!

God knows that we all like a grumble, or where it is frowned upon, a mumble, so we at the online Gazette have decided to open a space for our readers to have a grumble!

As we get older, moaning becomes an art form, whether it be about aching joints or about what Trump has got up to today, so, don’t hold back!

It works along the lines of a reader’s letter which you can send to us by email and we will publish here, or you can simply leave it as a comment on this post, and if it is a sufficiently long grumble we will repost it as a stand-alone article under the Grumbling section.

In fact, why not have a good grumble about us, whilst you’re at it?

I was sharing a good grumble with Barnicel Bill on his terrace and I sounded out a grumbling corner and his reply was, “hold my pint!” more or less, so we’ll be expecting some incoming from him about everything from noisy teenage footballers to bloody parking or an absence of it.

So there you have it? Who will beat Barnacle Bill to it?

(Editorial: Having a Good Whinge!)

I decided to dig out the 1957, Barnacle Bill film starring Alec Guinness on Wiki. Apparently it was the last comedy that Ealing Studios did… Trust the Royal Navy to deep six a perfectly serviceable film industry! – Martin

Hi, Dids, for some reason the site is putting down the comments from Grumblers Welcome and Letting off Steam as a combined total, which was five before I posted your and replied to it. – Martin

Quick grumble. You article says 4 comments and I can only see 1.
But main grumble is lack of decent internet during summer. Can the providers not upgrade the system???

I know this is supposed to be lighthearted, but people need to reminded of the inhumanity in Palestine, especially Gaza now.

Israel should have been economically sanctioned months ago for the depravity by the IDF and the Israeli Government. No nations have sanctioned Israel. They talk the talk but never do anything.

Israel should have been expelled from the UN decades ago for not complying to UN resolutions against them, but still the UN allows their grievous crimes to continue unabated. The UN is useless when it comes to sanctioning Israel.

Melania Trump sends a message to one despot, but not another worse despot imo

Why no letter to Netanyahu who has been responsible for killing, maiming and starving probably at least 50,000 children in Gaza (no one can possibly know the true figures)

American politics and that of the UK and many other countries is controlled by Israeli interests. That’s a fact.

“Dear President Putin,” the first lady’s letter begins. “Every child shares the same quiet dreams in their heart, whether born randomly into a nation’s rustic countryside or a magnificent city-center. They dream of love, possibility, and safety from danger.”

“As parents, it is our duty to nurture the next generation’s hope,” the letter continued. “As leaders, the responsibility to sustain our children extends beyond the comfort of a few.”

“Undeniably, we must strive to paint a dignity-filled world for all—so that every soul may wake to peace, and so that the future itself is perfectly guarded,” read the letter. “A simple yet profound concept, Mr. Putin, as I am sure you agree, is that each generation’s descendants begin their lives with a purity—an innocence which stands above geography, government, and ideology.”

“Yet in today’s world, some children are forced to carry a quiet laughter, untouched by the darkness around them a silent defiance against the forces that can potentially claim their future. Mr. Putin, you can single handedly restore their melodic laughter,”

“In protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone you serve humanity itself. Such a bold idea transcends all human division, and you, Mr. Putin, are fit to implement this vision with a stroke of the pen today. It is time,”

It is time also to send that letter to Netanyahu, but your husband and he are buddies.
