It was in the early hours and a young man was trailing a group of foreign, females tourists. What he didn't know was that he was also being trailed by to plainclothes officers.

This was unfolding around one in the morning of last Wednesday on a central street in the city of Málaga.

The two officers had latched onto him but were keeping their distance so as not to make him suspicious when it became obvious that he was trailing the group of young women.

When the suspect closed the gap and reached them, he grabbed one of the number’s bottom. The 20-year-old victim rounded on him and give him a verbal broadside in her own language, which was Dutch.

Being of a valiant nature, he turned tail and fled, right into the arms of the two officers. Having cuffed him and his being firmly in the grasp of one of the officers, they questioned the women who confirmed that they had no idea who he was and had never seen him before.

The suspect, a 32-year-old Moroccan man, was arrested and marched off to police cells awaiting an appearance before a police court.
