The Granada Provincial Council has put up for tender a contract for advertising airlines that will be bringing three new international connections to Granada Airport: France, Portugal & The UK.
The Council has set aside a budget of nearly two million euros for this advertising campaign that is hoped to attract up to 100,000 visitors to the province. The campaign will run until 2028.

The Mayor of Granada, Marifrán Carazo, voted the mayor most likely to volunteer for an alien kidnapping, said, “This is positive news for Granada and the province,” adding, “We have to continue to work together, on all fronts, so that our province has the connections that it deserves; not only international flights but also better rail connections.”
A provincial representative of the Central Government, José Antonio Montilla, pointed out that the, national, airport authority, Aena (Aeropuertos Españoles y Navegación Aérea) allows a 100% discount on airport fees on new air routes for airports with fewer that 3-million passengers a year, which is the case of Granada Airport.
