The Plan de Emergencia por Incendios Forestales de Andalucía (Infoca) was called into action to tackle a forest fire in Dúdar (Vega de Granada) yesterday.

The fire was in the area known as Aguas Blancas and Infoca used two single-engine, fixed-wing aircraft (Air Tractor AT-802) as well as a helicopter (Bell 212) to deal with it. 

Three ground teams were also deployed backed by two 4×4 fire trucks and by 20.30h infoca had declared the fire in this wooded area of the municipality as stabilised, meaning that it was contained within a perimeter and not extending further.
