Lost but in Good Hands

A 4-year-old girl became separated from her parents at the fairground in Granada where Corpus Cristi celebrations were being held. But she found help.

She instinctively latched onto a police officer, in tears, saying that she couldn’t find mummy. This was at three in the morning.

The officers had seen her standing by herself by the barcaza (swinging attraction) and approached her to make sure that she was OK, which was when she confessed that she was lost.

Whilst a couple of officers stayed with the child, others went in search of the parents, whom they located within 15 minutes, more or less. Mother and daughter were reunited.

The Policía Municipal reminds parents at such events to make sure that their childen, if they become separated from them, should seek out a police officer.
