The body of a man in his late 60s was discovered last Friday off a beach in La Mamola, at the eastern end of the Costa Tropical

A Guardia Civil source said that the 69-year-old man was a foreign resident in this coastal village which is a municipal dependency of Sorvilán.

The body was retrieved by the Servicio Marítimo Provincial, (Guardia Civil) and the police are pending an autopsy report as part of their investigation into his death.
