A 24-year-old British man fell from a hotel balcony in Marbella and has been hospitalised in a critical state.
The accident took place in the early hours of Sunday the 25th at the Hard Rock Hotel in Marbella. Although the balcony is technically on the 1st floor, it’s the same height as a normal 3rd-floor balcony.

According to police sources, it appears to have been an accident after the victim had consumed alcohol and that the victim had been in the company of three other individuals at the time. It was the hotel receptionist who called 112 to report the accident.
The ambulance rapidly arrived and took the victim to Hospital Costa del Sol in a critical state owing to cranial fractures and to his lower limbs. However, owing to the gravity of his injuries, he was transferred to the Hospital Regional Universitario de Málaga.
The previous evening there had been an accident on the Marbella golf course, Santa Clara Golf, after a golf buggy plummeted seven metres down a barranco, injuring the two occupants, leaving them unconscious.
