Salobreña Town Council has commenced its anti-pest (rats & insects) campaign down the town's sewer system using the specialised company, Sanisur.

The operation, consisting of four vehicles and a dozen workers, depending on the area, will be carried out in a similar manner to last year, thanks to the good results obtained in both disinfection and resident satisfaction.

“This season is the best time for this, taking into account the weather. We always try to find the best time to eliminate the greatest number of pests,” explained Councillor Luis Cano, who added that a review of the most critical areas is also planned for mid-July.

This is in addition action taken when residents start to send in complaints about rats and cockroaches.
