A gas leak occurred last Saturday in the El Molino area (barrio) of Salobreña, which drew a rapid response from the emergency services.

The incident, which occurred a little before noon, required the presence of the Motril fire service and two patrols belonging to the Policía Local.

The leak was located and stopped by fire personnel. Afterwards, gas fitters from the company that supplies natural gas to the town carried out the actual repair work.

During the operation the immediate area was cordoned off as a safety precaution.
