Good news for skiing enthusiasts and for the Sierra Nevada ski station itself, as the strike over the Easter period has been called off

In fact, Minister Rocío Díaz at the Junta de Andalucía which runs the publicly owned company, Cetursa Remontes, took the opportunity to also confirm that the ski season will not conclude until the 4th of May.

Minister Rocío Díaz said, “Sierra Nevada is looking at new situation with good outlooks,” and announced that the Junta was going to launch a promotional campaign entitled, Esquía La Primavera, which will include reduced prices for those that choose to use the slopes at the tail end of the season.

A Cetursa-Remontes workers’ essembly agreed on Monday to call off the strike after ratifying a pre-accord with the Junta.
