Forged Brand Merchandise

A shop owner in Almuñécar has been found to have false, brand products for sale both in the shop as well as in her storeroom.

The 49-year-old woman was found to have over 900 such items in her establishment, all supposedly belonging to top brand names; their logos and marketing merchandise.

The Guardia Civil through its Patrulla Fiscal y de Fronteras (PAFIF) based in Calahonda, which specialises in brand-forgery contraband, carried out a routine inspection of this clothes shop and became suspicious about the qualithy of some famous-brand items, so they began a more detailed search of the premises.

The shop in questions, besides clothes items, sells everything from jewellery to custom, print designs on mugs and T-shirts in the form of TV/film/cartoon images, as well as popular pop groups.

The police confiscated all the merchandise as evidence for a judicial investigation.
