Body Found in Storage Room

The body of an elderly woman was found on Thursday morning in a storage room in Granada.

The body was discovered by a cleaner working for the company that rents out these storage faciities and reported the find to the authorities.

The police are working on the hypothesis that she suffered a stroke or heart attack whilst in her lock up but until the autopsy results come back, they have not ruled out other possibilities.

The emergency coordination centre, 112, received a call around 11.15h to say that there was a dead body on an old mattress at the before-mentioned location, so the centre despatched the Policía Nacional and the medical services.

The body was removed after a thorough inspection of the room by forensic-police officers
