The Town Hall has designated family aid for parents who are empadronados in the village (for a least a year) for each new birth (it even includes adopted children) during the three months since the municipal announcement (approved on the 31st of December last year).
In other words, you have to have officially lived there for at least a year and had a baby (or adopted one) in the last three months. Furthermore, you have to submit a claim within three months of birth or adoption.
The Mayor of Canillas de Aceituno, Vicente Campos (PP), explained that the families would receive 750 euros per child, “to cover pharmacy, food, hygiene such as nappies.” I
It’s not clear, however, whether that is a one-off payment or not, because 750 euros won’t go a long way…
