Salobreña’s new environmental revitalisation programme and its ecosystems, which is run by Naturoots, began last month.

Naturoots, which is specialised in wildlife observation and environmental education, will be working in collaboration with the Environmental Department of Salobreña Town Hall. 

On the 15th of last month, for example, there was a workshop on how to make nest boxes, which was held in El Parque de La Fuente. Then on the 27th there was a bird-watching trip to the mouth of Río Guadalfeo.

As for this month, on the 7th, there will be another trip for bird watching, this time to the Charca de Suárez in Motril and on the 23rd a spot of tree planting.

“We would like to take this opportunity to encourage residents to propose activities, get involved and help us to make the programme more complete and diverse. Citizen involvement is essential for this type of initiative to be successful,” concluded Mariola Martínez.
