The opposition party in Salobreña, Partido Popular, has urged the Town Council to find a solution for the camper-van problem in the municipality.

The Head of the party, Rafael Bosch, considers that the problem is getting worse, thanks to lack of action on the part of the Mayor.

Councillor Bosch considers that the ruling party “is not doing anything about the real health threat caused by the irresponsibility of the users of some of these vehicles.”

“We want their stay in Salobreña to be regulated, as is the case of Motril where they have provided a parking area adapted for this kind of vehicle,” he said, adding, “We cannot allow them to park in the frontline of the beach area, on top of pedestrian pavements, putting solar panels down and dumping toilet waste without any kind of control.”
