Since December the Salobreña Board of Agriculture and Rural Environment has been busy cutting back intruding vegetation from road a lane verges with heavy machinery.
The Councillor for this department, Mariola Martínez, explained that it was necessary to improve visibility on rural lanes, as well as ‘deny fuel’ for fires along these routes.

The areas where they have been busy are the Camino de La Tahiba towards Lobres, The Camino La Palmilla, The Camino El Soto and the lane known as Calle Cristo.
This work will continue during the rest of this month along along all lanes that require it.
Councillor Martínez concluded by assuring residents that her department would continue to concentrate on conservation work on rural roads and lanes.
