It's always a mystery when they cut back the roadside vegetation along the Cabra Road above Otívar and when they do, their strimmer cuttings all over the place.
It stands most of summer, dry as a bone, all along the road, right up to the old gasoline station, and then they cut it in January instead of waiting for late spring?

Anyway, now the Partido Socialista (PSOE) through its provincial spokesperson, Gerardo Sánchez has demanded that the Junta de Andalucía gets its finger out and clears the road surface of the strimming debris on the said road, the GR 4050.
Spokesperson Sánchez considers that the “accumulation of cuttings is dangerous for vehicles, especially motorbikes and bicycles, so much so that some of the latter have already had accidents.”
Editorial comment: well, being a biker who lived in a cortijo up that road, yes it is dangerous, if you are not careful, especially in the dark. The problem is not such much with bikers but cyclists who take advantage of the downhill to scream down around 60kph (many times on the wrong side of the road on blind bends). ‘Prudence,’ is the word that comes to mind… at least, the printable version.
