Drone Christmas Display

Perhaps the days of big firework displays are over to be replaced by hundreds of drones in changing formations drawing pictures in the sky... Well, you have your chance to see a drone display tomorrow!

Yes, at 20.30h in Motril the Drone Light Show will commence using 120 drones to depict ten Christmas scenes in the sky.

Amongst the heavenly images will be a Three-Kings crown and shooting stars, amongst others, hovering over the Parque de los Pueblos de América.

Mayor Luisa García Chamorro urges all Motrileños and visitors to come and watch the drone display. She said that she is proud that Motril is the first Costa Tropical town to put on such a display.

She concluded by saying that there would be “priviledged spots” near the stage where the display can be best seen.

Editorial comment: I seem to remember that Almuñécar put on a drone display accompanied by music a couple of years ago…
