An engineer working on a wind turbine was killed by a falling object whilst he was suspended five metres above the ground.

This happened in a wind-turbine farm in Tarifa around 13.45h on Saturday just off the N-340 at approximately kilometre-point 63.

The emergency-coordination centre, 112, despatched an ambulance, police and fire personnel, as the victim had to be brought down to the ground.

The ambulance paramedics confirmed that the victim had been killed in the act but other than that this, there are no further details on the incident at the moment.
