A Disappointing Penis

The Servicio Andaluz de Salud has received a demand for 165,000 euros because a patient's pump-operated penis did not reach 17.5 cm, as promised... allegedly

In case you’re British and wondering… 17.5 centimetres is 6.8 inches. Basically, divide the cms by 2.54

The patient had been suffering from an erectile dysfunction and opted for a pump-operated implant. Trouble was, when he optimistically hit the pump… there was only eight centimetres, which is just over three inches. Not much chance of starting a war with that, he might have thought.

The operation took place in 2016 and then in 2017, he showed up at the A&E of a private hospital with a priapism; in other words, a stubborn erection, probably caused by a rupture in the device, suggesting that he kept pumping until something gave… the release valve.

This was obviously remedied because later in 2020, he underwent another operation, this time in the Hospital Universitario San Cecilio to change ‘bouncy castle.’ The doctors insisted that this one would not mean an increase in his weapon (claims the SAS in its defence).

The matter ended up before the Consejo Consultivo de Andalucía (Andalusia Advisory Board) who rejected the claim for 165,000 euros, as the Board considered that the SAS had acted correctly.

You see, although the implant provided a 17.5-cm erection, most of it was out of sight; i.e., buried in the perineum (the area between the scrotum and the anus in a male). The doctors emplained this on several occasions to the patient with the aid of diagrams, but he didn’t seem to grasp that most of his sword would be staying in the scabbard.

They also took care to explain how the prothesis worked but alas he is not a happy bunny, despite a ‘rigid eight’ being better than his original floppy.
