Sunday night in Nerja saw a nasty collision between a motorbike and a 4x4 on Avenida Alcalde Antonio Villasclaras, which is an access road for Nerja.

The biker was a 20-year-old Nerja man and as a result of his injuries he was rushed to the Hospital Comarcal de la Axarquía, according to the emergency coordination centre, 112.

The accident took place near the BP gasolinera around 22.40h Sunday night for reasons unknown as the incident is still under investigation. The driver of the 4×4 was a middle-aged man but no other details as to his idendity have been made known to date.

Both the Policía Local and Guardia Civil were despatched to the scene of the accident, along with an ambulance. The rider’s condition is described as “very serious” with injuries all over his body and at present he remains in the ICU with spinal injuries, amongst others.
