Salobreña's Hora Dorada del Castillo has had a tremendous success, so much so that the 210 places were filled in record time by over 800 applicants.
So, what is the Hora Dorada del Castillo? It’s an opportunity to enjoy a guided visit to the castle by night with refreshments that include top tapas and wines.
On Tuesday the 20th, the fourth guided tour took place with tapas by local chefs combined with local wines from Granada. These were supplied by Gastrobar Barbas consisting of ensaladilla tradicional coronada con un boquerón en vinagre, y unas patatas con pulpo Salobreña. The wine was provided by Bodegas Muñana.
The Hora Dorada del Castillo are part of the Salobreña Para Comérsela programme, coordinated by Lidia de la O. During these Golden Hour visits, several new ideas have come up which could be included into next year’s event.
Next week it will be Restaurante Verdejo’s turn to provide the tapas that will be combined with wines from Bodega Rambla de Huarea.
The last one will be on Wednesday the 4th of September with Restaurante La Traviesa providing the tapas accompanied by wines from Bodegas Fontedei.
Nobody knew what success this idea of promoting local restaurants and wines from our province would be when the first one took place with tapas provided by Restaurante Arrockcería accompanied by wines from Bodegas Calvente, no less.
