A police van belonging to the Guardia Civil collided with a metro wagon in the city of Granada on Wednesday.

Nobody was hurt but the metro system was disrupted for a short time, as can be expected.

The accident took place around 21.00h near the area of the city known as La Caleta.

Although the exact circumstances behind the accident are not known, what we do know is that it was the prisoner-transfer van used for the law courts in Granada.

What is also clear is that it was the van-driver’s fault… obviously!

Another tram was sent to replace the damaged one (which had been returned to the workshop for a more detailed inspection) so that the service could be continued.
