A city bus in Granada had to swerve in order not to collide with a cyclist and ended up hitting up against a tree side on. Fortunately, none of the passengers were hurt.

The accident took place Tuesday afternoon on the Carretera de Málaga and Calle Sagrada Familia on a roundabout in the Barrio de La Chana. The bus driver took evasive action to avoid hitting the cyclist, losing control of the vehicle.

The bus of the bendy kind (articulated) was too damaged to move at first so the Policía Local had to filter the traffic past the stricken bus until it was able to continue on its way under its own steam, back to the bus depot.

It is not clear who provoked the accident… Did the cyclist remain at the scene of the accident? Again, we don’t know.
