A man in his 20s met his death in the area of Los Tajos in Alhama de Granada after his car plummeted into the gorge.

The body of the 26-year-old victim had to be cut out of the wreckage by fire personnel after a fall of some 200 metres near the Ermita de Los Ángeles.

Also involved in the emergeny response was an ambulance (whose paramedics confirmed his death) the Policía Local, Guardia Civil and volunteers from  the local Protección Civil.

Editorial comment: If I remember correctly, there is a track running along the top of the right-hand side of  the gorge (in relation to the photo), which is probably where the car fell from.
