A 60-year-old woman was injured when an extractor unit fell off the facade of a building and struck her.

This occurred in the early afternoon of yesterday in the city of Málaga, according to the 112 emergency call centre.

An eyewitness phoned in at 14.35h to say that an aluminum extractor had fallen from its mounting, hitting a woman as she rode by on a moped along Pasaje Campos.

Furthermore, the caller said that the remaining structure was in danger of coming away, as well.

The emergency coordination centre despatched an ambulance which took the woman to Hospital Carlos Haya.

However, there is no information on the severity of her injuries nor her present condition
