Four people were injured as a result of a frontal collision between two cars in Motril yesterday afternoon.
The emergency call-centre, 112, received calls for eyewitnesses just before 16.30h to say that an accident had taken place on the Camino Patria, which is a rural lane within the municipality.
Patrols from the Guardia Civil and Policía Local were despatched to the scene, together with an ambulance.
Paramedics at the scene confirmed that two men and two women received injuries owing to the collision, all of whom were take to Hospital Santa Ana.
The Camino Patria connects the Carretera de la Celulosa (the road on which Ron Montero lies) and the Playa Granada road, which is used by farmers, Playa-Granada residents and out-of-town golfers on a daily basis.
