Russian Hackers Target Granada

NoName057, a group of hackers at the service of the Russian Kremlin, blocked the websites of the Granada metro and the capital's public transport yesterday.

GRA Hacker Attack against SummitThe affected websites were metropolitanogranada.es, transportesrober.com and the Granada Tourism website turgranada.es belonging to the Provincial Council.

This was announced by the said group of hackers, which came into being in March 2022, following the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Granada was targeted precisely because of the European leaders being here at the summit.

These cyber attacks always tend to follow the same pattern: hackers use zombie computers to cause a massive traffic surge against targeted websites in order to crash them.

The Message on Telegram read: “Zelensky arrived in the Spanish city of Granada to meet with Spanish PM, Pedro Sánchez, to discuss the supply of Hawk anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine. The Spaniards plan to supply six Bandera systems, as well as air defence, artillery and anti-drone systems.”
