An inebriated driver in El Romeral (Gualchos/Castell de Ferro) managed to collide with four vehicles whilst travelling along the GR-5209.
According to the Guardia Civil, the incident occurred Wednesday evening around 20.10h , when the 50-year-old man lost control of his vehicle, causing a multiple-vehicle, road accident involving four cars.
The exact spot on the GR-5209 was near kilometre point 23, close to the Colegio de Educación Infantil y Primaria Virgen del Carmen (see photo).
Fortunately, nobody was injured, although all five of the cars involved received varying amounts of damage.
Again, according to the Guardia Civil, the driver was four times over the limit; i.e., 1.03mg/litre of air expelled. The limit is 0.25mg/l.
