A minor will spend three years in internment and two years' probation after having admitted guilt to a charge of sexual abuse of another minor.

The Public Prosecutor had originally recommended his being interned for five years but agreed to a lower recommendation when the accused’s lawyer submitted a guilty plea.

This judicial decision will have to be confirmed by a judge in court.

There was a third person present during the assault who filmed it on a mobile phone, however, the police still have not been able to locate this suspect despite being identified.

The incident took place in September, 2022 in an unspecified municipality within the province of Granada during broad daylight.

The boy and girl, who knew each other, had agreed to meet on a particular street that afternoon. Unbeknown to the victim, the aggressor had also arranged for the third person to come along and record what he intended to do.

Editorial comment: there is clear evidence of intent; i.e, planning behind this crime. Had this been an adult he would be locked away for a long time and not just three years.
