Comfy Ten Years

An ONCE lottery-ticket seller in Almuñécar sold a number worth 2,000 euros a month for the next ten years, which beats working down in a salt mine.

ALM Lucky Lottery Ticket SellerThe seller, Francisco Miguel Cañada, has only been working for ONCE, selling numbers in the Town Hall Square since the end of March, so he’s pretty chuffed, as you can imagine. He would have been even happier if he had bought the ticket himself, but never mind.

The lucky number drawn on the 15th was also sold in Almería, Córdoba and La Palma del Condado (Huelva) as well as Castilla-León, the País Vasco and the Comunidad Valenciana.

El Sueldazo, as it is known, goes on sale on weekends with a first prize (all five digits) of 300,000 euros plus… yes plus, 5,000 euros a month during 20 years. Those that get four of the five get 2,000 euros a months over ten years.

Let’s hope that whoever bought the ticket doesn’t waste it on buying lottery tickets as lightning never strikes…

Howard: of course, you’re right… and lightning can strike twice in the same place… not that it needs two strikes to take you out. 😉

No true; I have a friend whose son won at least one million dollars twice in the USA
