AND Brit Hitmen ArrestedThe 39-year-old victim, also of British nationality, was married and had a young child.

The suspects reportedly travelled to Spain with the sole purpose of carrying out their ‘contract,’ considers the Public Prosecutor, who has recommended a 22-year, prison sentence for both. However, he did not oppose their receiving release under a bail arrangement.

The accused arrived in Spain from Manchester on the 11th of November, 2019 and the crime was carried out ten days later after studying the victim’s daily movements. Prior to the hit, one of the accused hired an Opel Corsa in Barcelona. From there, they drove down to Mijas where the victim resided.

In the early hours of the 20th of November, around 03.50h they carried out their last assessment of the street where he lived. Then, the next day, they parked outside the gym where he frequently attended. They were tipped off by an unidentified accomplice, saying that the victim had left the gym at 14.58h and was heading for his car, so they struck, allegedly: one stayed in the get-away car whilst the other walked up to the driver’s side window and fired off eight shots, mostly into his chest, killing him almost immediately.

Both hitmen were arrested in 2020; one back in the UK and the other, after travelling around Europe and South America returned to Spain (a small village in Murcia) just before the lockdown, where he was also arrested.
