On the 13th of this month the Festival de Bandas de Música will take place in Salobreña's Auditorio, next to the Town Hall.

The event is organised by the Banda Municipal de Salobreña and the guests who have been invited to play are the Augustana Band, belonging to the Augustana University in South Dakota. It is recognised as one of the finest concert organisations in the Midwest.

Augustana University is a private Lutheran university in Sioux Falls of Scandinavian origin (Norwegian/Swedish) dating back to the 1860s.

The band is made up of over 50, university students. This is its first European tour and it performs in Salobreña thanks to the support of the Town Hall and the Federación Granadina de Bandas.

Both bands will perform music from their own countries, starting at 20.00h. Entrance is free.
