An inebriated driver collided with two parked vehicles in the city of Granada before ending up hanging upside down in her seatbelt.
The accident occurred on Calle Periodista José Mezcua Ruiz, near where it meets the Avenida de Andalucía at 10.15h yesterday morning.
She managed to climb out of her upside-down vehice and, other than being a little dazed, was not injured.
Eye witnesses phoned the Policía Local who arrived, breathalysed her and took her to the nearest hospital for a medical examination, to be on the safe side.
She gave a reading of 0.49 mg/l at the scene and the test was repeated an hour later giving the same result. She will be fined 500 euros and will lose four points off her licence. The repairs to the car and the damages caused to the cars she collided with, will cost her a lot more than 500 euros, however.
