We prayed for rain and we got it but there has been some adverse affects in Salobreña, involving an emblematic Bougainvillea.

This colourful tree or shrub was outside the house a of foreign resident on Calle La Piqueta in the Old Town. It was probably one of the most photographed subjects for tourists.

Unfortunately, the German owner of the house was out of the country so the Town Hall could no get permission to try and save it.

The small wall around it gave way. Consequently, it was taken away by the municipal Maintenance Department.
