Two Dutch tourists woke up with a monster hang over and missing their mobile phones and other things - they had been slipped Mickey Finns.

This happened in April in the Costa del Sol town of Marbella and was a result of meeting two young ladies in a bar, who later administered something to their drinks.

They had invited the women back to their holiday flat and the guests had offered to fix some drinks, and boy did they fix them.

The next thing they remembered was waking up and wishing they hadn’t, thanks to the drug-induced hangover.

The victims had gone to a medical centre for a check up and then to the police station to report what had happened.

When a victim is deprived of their possessions, using chemical submission, as it is termed, it’s classified as a robbery (violence) rather than theft.

As a result of the police investigation, two suspects, aged 24 and 27, were tracked down to Alicante in Valencia, thanks to CCTV images from the discotheque and other cameras along the route to the flat.
