La Herradura now has its own mini-golf course called Minigolf La Herradura, which has been sponsored by an ex-golf trainer for the PGA.
The man behind it is an American who has lived in several European countries, mainly in Denmark, Scott Huston. Our Jess Rasmussen who writes the Danish Corner might have heard of him.
Minigolf La Herradura lies between the main road (N340) and Calle Las Palomas 12, which is where the entrance is. It has 18 holes and covered a good part of the 1,100 sq/m plot – on the rest are two petanque areas and a training area for Padel, Tennis or Badmington. There is also space for restrooms, admin/reception and a storeroom.
When asked why La Herradura, Scott answered that after 15 years of living in the village and a lot of thought he had decided to reduce the space needed for the holes down to 450 metres in length and four to five metres in width.
Minigolf La Herradura opened its doors around the middle of last month and has the opening hours of 10.00h to 13.00h & 17.30h to 22.00h, or with reservations.
