Burglaries in Taramay

La Guardia Civil caught the alleged culprit of seven house burglaries in an urbanización in Taramay, Almuñécar.

ALM Taramay 01 400x250The 31-year-old suspect, a well known bad lad with no fixed adddress, is thought to have carried out the burglaries ocurring between the 17th and 31st of July. So many burglaries in such a short period had spread alarm in this area of Almuñécar.

In fact, the arrested man has just come out of prison after six years behind bars and was on probation.

The seven, burgled dwellings were all accessed in the same manner: the thief waited until nobody was at home and then found a window that he could be forced easily.

Once inside, he searched each room and picked up cash, credit cards, jewellery, TVs, Hi-Fi equipment, computers and even a hair dryer and jet-spray. All told, he accrued a booty worth 20,000 euros.

Police investigations were helped by CCTV footage from one of the burgled houses from which is was possible to identify the culprit.
