The unidentified body of a woman was found in the water off La Herradura's nudist beach yesterday morning.
The deceased had a head injury but it is far from clear whether this occurred before or after her death – wave action could have hit the body against the rocks. Until there is an autopsy, the cause of death cannnot be established.
The emergency, call centre, 112 received a call around 13.30h yesterday to say that there was a body floating not far from the beach.
The Guardia Civil and Salvamento Marítimo were immediately informed, as well as the Spanish Red Cross and the Policía Local.
